What is self-care? Self-care refers to intentional activities that an individual engages in to preserve his or her well-being. These behaviors can vary depending on how individuals engage in them. They consist of anything that promotes life-giving energy. Included within these self-care pages are tips and strategies that have been purposefully selected for you. For many parents, the thought of taking care of yourself may seem daunting when there seems to be an overwhelming amount of activities that need to be done or planned for your child. However, by promoting your own self-care (at least 10 minutes a day), you can be more present for your child’s needs and you can be more engaged in your relationships with others.
